James Turrell

One of my fav artists of all time. He works with light and controlling viewers perspective of light. His biggest work, the Roden Crater, has been a work in progress since the 70's and is expected to finally open in 2011. It's Located outside Flagstaff, Arizona. He is turning the natural cinder volcanic crater into a massive observatory, designed specifically for the viewing of the sky. I am already planning a trip.
